Tickets for Clapton/Winwood and Chicago/Earth, Wind & Fire are available at the Schottenstein Center Box Office and through Ticketmaster. “We are extremely excited to be able to present such high-quality events as the inaugural events of The Revolution,” said Dave Whinham, President and CEO of Revolution Sports+Entertainment. “These pre-show parties reflect the type of dynamic, high-energy, fan-friendly events that will become synonymous with the Revolution brand.” A third event, the First Annual Shadowbox Sketch Comedy Festival with Garrett Morris, will be a first-of-its-kind event that takes place on July 21-22 at Shadowbox in Easton Town Center. The two-night event hosted by Shadowbox and featuring original Saturday Night Live cast member Garrett Morris will include six comedy troupes displaying their own unique style of sketch comedy performances before culminating with a high-energy comedy and rock ‘n’ roll show on the event’s second night that will feature each troupe’s best sketches, as well as great performances by Garrett Morris, BillWho?, and all of the Shadowbox stars. The first event will be the Revolution Pre-Show Party at the Jermone Schottenstein Center/Value City Arena on the campus of The Ohio State University prior to the Eric Clapton / Steve Winwood concert. The outdoor event on June 15 kicks off at 6:00 pm and will feature BillWho?, the outstanding Shadowbox house band, along with very special guest and rock ‘n’ roll legend Mitch Ryder. Ryder will be performing many of his hit songs, including Devil With A Blue Dress On and CC Ryder/Jenny Take A Ride.
The second Revolution event will also be a Revolution Pre-Show Party at Value City Arena. This outdoor event will take place prior to the Chicago / Earth, Wind & Fire concert on June 21, 2009, and will again feature Columbus’ own BillWho?.
