Babson College selects The Team to assist it with strategic planning process

COLUMBUS, Ohio The Team: Sports, Entertainment, & Media has been selected by the Babson College Department of Athletics to assist it with executing the multiple phases associated with developing its strategic plan.

The Team, through its Collegiate Services Division, will assist and facilitate the planning process.

“Our institution was impressed with the process and product that resulted from our conference’s experience with The Team. Frank Pergolizzi and his colleagues were an ideal choice for us when Babson Athletics decided to embark on our future planning,” said Babson Director of Athletics Josh MacArthur.

“We very much look forward to working with the Babson athletic department and helping them through these important planning processes,” said Pergolizzi, The Team’s Director of Collegiate Services.

The Team’s Collegiate Services Division was launched in January 2007 and offers an array of products and services to college athletics administrators, including certification consultation, strategic planning, program review, feasibility studies, sponsorship sales assessment and training, gender equity and compliance consulting, and executive search services.

The division has serviced a number of collegiate clients since its start, including the University of Pittsburgh, Louisiana Tech University, the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Western Michigan University, Cabrini College, Manatee Community College, Crown College, the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, the American Southwest Conference, the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association, the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference, the University of Wisconsin-Superior, the University of Texas at San Antonio, the University of St. Thomas, Stevens Institute of Technology, Arkansas Tech University, Eastern Nazarene College, the University of Nebraska at Kearney, the University of Arkansas Monticello, the Pacific West Conference, and the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.

Since beginning operations in January 2002, The Team has successfully managed transactions for an array of entities throughout the sports and entertainment industries, including teams at all levels, venues, buyers, sellers, licensed products, television and media projects, and other related businesses. The Team managed all of the transactions associated with bringing the Arena Football League’s Columbus Destroyers to Central Ohio and has also assisted with three buy-side acquisition teams for purchase of National Hockey League clubs. Its clients include buyers and sellers of major and minor league sports organizations, owners and managers of venues throughout North America, entertainment executives, and colleges and universities across the nation.

Along with its brokering services, The Team has developed a comprehensive consulting practice that has allowed it to successfully partner with some of the most recognized and respected organizations and institutions in North America’s sports and entertainment industries. The Team has also developed mature media and live event production capabilities which have allowed it to create and develop its own unique properties.
